In short: full refund within 14 days of your first payment for a subscription. No refunds on renewals, but you can cancel at any time to stop the next one. Refunds are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record.
1. Who sells OrcStat
OrcStat is made by Trifecta Labs LLC (Delaware, USA). Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle takes the payment and processes refunds.
2. Try before you buy
Pro Personal comes with a 14-day free trial. No card is needed, so you won't be charged at the end of it. If you don't subscribe, OrcStat switches to read-only mode.
3. Refunds on your first payment
If you ask within 14 days of your first payment for a subscription, monthly or annual, we will refund that payment in full. You don't need to give a reason. Your subscription then ends and OrcStat switches to read-only mode.
4. Renewals
Renewal payments, monthly or annual, are not refunded. To stop a renewal, cancel before it's due: you keep full access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you won't be charged again.
5. How to ask for a refund
- Email [email protected] from the address on your account, with your order number if you have it, or
- use the link in the receipt Paddle emailed you to contact Paddle directly.
Paddle sends the refund to the payment method you used, usually within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider. Any tax you paid is refunded with it.
6. Teams and institutions
The same 14-day rule applies to the first payment for a Pro Team subscription. Institution agreements set their own terms in the contract or quote.
7. Read-only mode, not lost data
After a refund, a cancellation or a failed payment, OrcStat switches to read-only mode. You can still open, view and export your projects and .sav files, but you can't run new analyses or use the AI. Your data stays on your device and is never locked away.
8. Exceptions and your legal rights
We may refuse a refund where we reasonably believe the refund process is being abused, for example repeated buy-and-refund cycles. Nothing in this policy limits any right to a refund that you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.
